The mission of the Solomons Island Dragon Boat Festival is to build awareness,

knowledge and understanding between individuals with developmental differences

and the general public through education, program development and athletic competition. 

 

The Solomons Island Dragon Boat Festival
The Solomons Island Dragon Boat Festival invites everyone in the tri-county (Calvert, Charles, St. Marys) and Metro DC areas to attend our festival. In addition to the exciting boat races, the Solomons Island Dragon Boat Festival sets itself apart by putting an emphasis on awareness and inclusion of individuals with developmental differences. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of entertainment, food vendors and shopping
 at the Festival Marketplace.
